Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how OAH Accounting ("the App", "we", "our") uses cookies and similar storage technologies (such as localStorage and the storage used by Firebase Authentication) on our website and web application. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. "Similar technologies" include browser localStorage and sessionStorage, which web applications use to keep information (such as a login session) between page loads. In this policy we refer to all of these collectively as "cookies".

2. How We Use Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

We do not use cookies for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell your data. This is consistent with our Privacy Policy.

3. Cookies We Use

Type Purpose Set by
Authentication / session (essential) Keeps you securely signed in and maintains your session, so you don't have to log in again on every page. Stored as browser storage and tokens managed by Firebase Authentication. Firebase Authentication (Google LLC), on our behalf
Preferences (essential) Remembers basic settings such as your selected language (English / Spanish) and your cookie choice. OAH Accounting
Analytics (optional — consent required) Helps us understand, in aggregate and anonymously, how visitors find and use our website (e.g. pages viewed, approximate location, device type) so we can improve it. Set only if you accept. Typical cookies: _ga, _ga_<id>, _gid. Google Analytics (Google LLC)

The strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under EU/Spanish cookie rules. The analytics cookies are not set unless you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage (which resets the banner). We do not set any advertising cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Firebase Authentication (provided by Google LLC) to manage login. As part of securing your session, Firebase sets and reads the storage and tokens described above.

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to collect aggregate, anonymised usage statistics about our website. Google Analytics does not load and sets no cookies until you give consent. We do not embed third-party advertising trackers.

Google's handling of data from both services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Managing Cookies

When you first visit our website you are asked to accept or reject analytics cookies. If you reject them, no Google Analytics cookies are set. You can also clear or block cookies and site storage through your browser settings at any time — clearing storage resets the banner so you can choose again. Please note that the strictly necessary cookies are required to sign in and use the App, so blocking them may prevent it from working.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
